Since over 40 years the Indulor Group is recognized internationally as a Specialist for Macromolecular Chemistry. In the following we would like to give you a short overview of our main development stations from a small start-up business to a transnational company.
1978
Indulor was founded in 1978 in Ankum, Germany by Erwin Fengler. Starting with the development of polymers for adhesives used in the construction industry, the products sold were produced by external suppliers.
1988
Recognizing the continuous growth of our customer base and the steady expansion of our product range, we established our own production facility in Bramsche-Hesepe in 1988. This plant provided an annual production capacity of 15,000 tonnes per year.
1997
As sales volumes increased throughout Europe and our product programme continued to expand, we established a second production facility in Bitterfeld, Germany in 1997. Like the site in Bramsche, this facility was built to state-of-the-art technical and ecological standards.
2003
The second plant in Bitterfeld-Wolfen was opened to meet the further increase in demand for dispersions and solid resin solutions.
2005
The first production line for solid resin synthesis has now been added to the liquid lines in Bitterfeld-Wolfen to meet the growing demands of our customers.
To date, capacity has been expanded to a total of four solid resin lines.
2006
In 2006 we established the Centre of Polymer Development (ZPA) in Bramsche-Hesepe, where the Research and Development department together with the technical service are located. By establishing the ZPA we are able to better meet the customers' needs and to improve on our capacity for testing and development work.
2010
The product range of the INDULOR Group is extended by adding optical brighteners in October 2010. The acquisition of the BLANKOPHOR® production facility in Leverkusen enabled the company to expand its portfolio for paper finishing.
2017
Today we serve our customers in all regions worldwide with a production capacity of 245,000 tonnes per year of dispersions and solid resins. Furthermore, we have become one of the main suppliers in the Graphic Arts market (Printing Inks and Overprint Varnishes). This development induced us to set up a forth production plant in Graham, NC which is running since 2017. By opening this plant we increased our production capacity by 50,000 tonnes per year.
2022
To date, we serve our customers worldwide with approximately 250,000 tons of dispersions, emulsions and solid resins. The INDULOR Group has developed globally into one of the leading suppliers in the Graphic Arts sector (printing inks and overprint varnishes).
